Magnetic Particle

Magnetic Particle Inspection (MPI) is a non-destructive testing method for locating discontinuities in ferromagnetic materials. It uses flux leakage that forms magnetic poles to attract finely divided magnetic particles that mark the discontinuity. CSI has capabilities to perform MPI in both our laboratory (in-house) and in the field


IN-HOUSE LABORATORY MPI EQUIPMENT

  • 5,000 amp FWDC magnetic particle power supply
  • 60" bed & 144" bed


ON-SITE FIELD MPI EQUIPMENT

  • 4,000 amp stand alone magnetic particle supply
  • 1,000 amp stand alone magnetic particle power supply (for spot inspections)

Parker Probes (for spot inspection)
