QUALITY CONTROL IS ESSENTIAL FOR THE PRESERVATION, THE IMPROVEMENT AND THE SAFETY OF OUR EXISTENCE

With aircraft carrying millions of people, flying heavy schedules years beyond their anticipated use, bridges operating at maximum capacity to link populated metropolitan areas and buried pipelines transporting volatile fuels for decades, nondestructive testing (NDT) is an invaluable tool for the detection of stress fractures and corrosion. From high-rise building construction to electronic semiconductors to aerospace components, its use is essential in the detection of flaws, imperfections and in maintaining high standards of quality. Its use can be critical in averting potential disasters and/or monetary losses. Nondestructive testing and inspections benefit industries and populations alike.

Canyon State Inspection's nondestructive testing (NDT) services are utilized by the aerospace, aircraft, steel construction, pipeline, power plant utilities, electronics, mining, heavy equipment and automotive industries throughout the United States and the world. This organization offers an unlimited selection of nondestructive testing techniques for solutions to any quality control problem. Along with the basic NDT services including radiographic, ultrasonic, eddy current, magnetic particle, and liquid penetrant, CSI offers other technically specialized fields such as helium leak, hydrostatic testing and failure analysis. CSI is always exploring, developing and initiating the newest and most efficient processes possible.

CSI's staff at both the Tucson and Phoenix, Arizona facilities is certified by test through American Welding Society as AWS QCI welding inspectors. All technicians are tested and qualified to American Society of Non -Destructive Testing SNT-TC-1A and Military Standard 410 in all methods of NDT. Special inspectors are certified by test under the International Conference of Building Officials (ICBO) special inspector program as Structural Steel-Welding and Sprayed Applied Fire Resistant Materials (SFRM) building inspectors. Our organization exceeds all of the requirements as stated in American Society of Testing Materials ASTM's E329 entitled "Recommended Practice for Inspection and Testing Agencies for Concrete, Steel and Bituminous Materials as Used in Construction," section 8.3 ASTM E545 entitled "Practice for Determining Qualifications for Nondestructive Testing Agencies," and ASTM E548 entitled "Practice for General Criteria for use in Evaluation of Testing Agencies."

Canyon State Inspection began its operations in 1983 in Tucson, Arizona, where its corporate headquarters remain. Due to growing demands, a branch office was begun in 1987 in the Phoenix metropolitan area making it one of the largest NDT firms in the Southwest.

Your vendor audits are encouraged and provide CSI with an excellent means of determining your needs, as well as those of various other industries. They are most helpful in keeping us current with new technology. Audits of our facilities, equipment and staff are always welcomed. We are always eager to demonstrate how nondestructive testing may be applied to benefit you and your organization.
